Multilevel Precedence and Preemption (MLPP)

Info

MLPP is enabled within the core PhoneNet network and to PhreakNet only. At this time only users on Aura and Asterisk may place priority calls.

We are running an MLPP enabled backbone that enables calls to be placed with priority. The authorised level depends on your user profile but the following levels are enabled on the switch:

Feature Code Caller ID Name Prefix Precedence Level
90 [FO] Flash Override
91 [FL] Flash
92 [IM] Immediate
93 [PR] Priority
94 N/A Routine (Default)

To place a call select the level on your handset (Avaya 9600 and J100 series) or dial the above feature code followed by the number.

Inbound calls with a priority will show the prefix in the caller ID, and further indications depending on your telephone type.

You may verify that outbound calls are being placed with precedence correctly by calling the precedence verification service on 8099.
